Position: Cover Supervisor

Location Stevenage

Teaching Personnel seeking Cover Supervisors for secondary schools within Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The role of a cover supervisor is to step in for absent teachers and deliver pre-prepared work and facilitate the independent learning of the classes. This role requires good behaviour management and a base knowledge of core subjects as this role is not subject specific.

This is a great opportunity for overseas trained teachers to get back into teaching or to start a teaching career, with a lot of our schools offering scope for progression. Alternately if you are a fully qualified teacher looking for more flexibility and reduced responsibilities this could be a great opportunity as there is never any planning and marking involved in this role and the hours range from 8.30am-4pm dependent on the school. We can offer full time hours as well as part time to fit around what you we’re looking for.

The Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor would include:

  • Managing and Supervising classrooms effectively, maintaining a disciplined classroom environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared work that has been organised from the teacher.
  • Assist with Administrative tasks.
  • Follow the school’s policies and procedures to maintain safe and productive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
