About the Role:

Are you passionate about education and looking to make a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team, providing essential support to secondary schools across Watford. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education during teacher absences by supervising classes and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students complete the assigned work.
• Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
• Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth handover of lessons.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
• Driving licence or efficient access to public transport
• Relevant qualifications or training in education (desirable but not essential).
