Cover Supervisor – Salisbury
Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term

A friendly and high-achieving secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team from November 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable classroom experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in the absence of the class teacher

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment

  • Support students with their work and promote a focused classroom atmosphere

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where required

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting

  • Be confident in managing groups of students aged 11–16

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about education

This position would suit someone considering a future career in teaching or education, offering hands-on experience within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
