Are you a recent graduate looking to gain meaningful experience within a secondary school environment? We are working with a number of schools across Salford who are seeking capable and professional Cover Supervisors to join their teams from September 2026.

This role offers an excellent pathway into education, particularly for those considering a future career in teaching or working with young people.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for supervising whole classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain focused, engaged, and working productively. Lesson materials will be provided, allowing you to focus on maintaining structure and a positive learning environment.

  • Deliver pre-set lesson work across a range of subjects
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom discipline
  • Ensure a calm, structured, and purposeful classroom atmosphere
  • Respond confidently to challenges and maintain professionalism at all times
  • Support students in completing tasks to the best of their ability

Candidate Profile

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) is desirable
  • Experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate strong behaviour management and presence
  • Professional, organised, and reliable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in education and student development

This opportunity is particularly suited to Strong graduates seeking to build confidence and experience prior to teacher training or long-term roles within education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
