Job description

We are seeking a confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with teaching experience or a background in classroom supervision.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom when teachers are absent, ensuring lessons continue smoothly. You will supervise students, maintain classroom discipline and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences

  • Deliver pre-set work to students and ensure they remain on task

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Report any issues or incidents to senior staff

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in teaching, training or classroom supervision

  • Confident in managing groups of students (Key Stage 3 to 5)

  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

  • Flexible and able to travel between schools in Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
