Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a larger and well-established secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor for a permanent position starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and vibrant secondary school with a strong leadership team, excellent facilities, and a supportive staff culture. The school is seeking a reliable and flexible individual who can confidently manage classrooms and maintain high standards of behaviour across a range of subjects and year groups.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences by supervising pre-set work and supporting students to remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.

The role:

  • Full-time permanent Cover Supervisor position
  • September 2026 start
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Supporting students across a variety of subjects
  • Working within a supportive and experienced pastoral team
  • Excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or experienced support staff

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Be adaptable, flexible, and confident working in different classroom environments
  • Have experience working with young people in an educational setting
  • Be organised, proactive, and resilient
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom presence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
