Cover Supervisor – Flexible Work
Location: Durham (DH1)
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (based on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Flexible supply (day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements available)

About the Role:
Are you looking for a flexible role in education where you can make a real impact? We’re currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Durham. In this role, you’ll deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher, helping to maintain a focused and supportive learning environment for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Leading pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
• Supporting students as they complete their work and answering any queries
• Providing brief feedback to teaching staff about student engagement and conduct

What We’re Looking For:

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
• Experience working with young people is a plus, but not essential – training is available through our CPD Academy
• Confident classroom management and a positive approach to learning
• Clear communication skills and a well-organised approach
• Flexibility and dependability to meet the needs of local schools
