Cover Supervisor

Location: Crosby
Contract Type: Flexible (Full-time/Part-time options available)


About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in the Crosby area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and supporting young people in their learning journey.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons to students in KS3–KS5, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment. You will also have the opportunity to provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them achieve their full potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, following pre-prepared lesson plans.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students with SEN, including offering tailored 1:1 assistance.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience delivering lessons to KS3–KS5 students.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Experience working with SEN students is desirable.
  • Ability to adapt and support learners across a range of needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
