Teaching Personnel are recruiting!

Are you a reliable and dedicated individual, looking for a new opportunity in a large, over-subscribed secondary school in Blackburn.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Cover Supervisor with strong behaviour management skills, to join our partner secondary school in Blackburn, to start as soon as possible. This is a full time, long term role, paying up to GBP70 per day.

The role itself will involve the cover of absent staff across the school. You will need to be adaptable and confident across the subject areas. You will be expected to ensure students are on task always and so behaviour management is essential to this role. Work will be set by the absent teacher, and you will be required to explain these and make sure that students are completing the work provided. You will need to liaise with the teaching staff to feedback and keep them informed of student progress from lessons that you have covered.

We are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school is part of a wider academy trust, working with four secondary schools across Lancashire. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.

This OFSTED 'Good' secondary school is looking for a Cover Supervisor that can deliver lessons across all Key Stages and has excellent behaviour management skills, as well as a great personality for building rapport with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, a confident behaviour manager and have the highest expectations of all young people. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead the students through all subject areas of the lessons you are covering.

The school is based in Blackburn and has excellent public transport links from both Preston and Manchester.

By registering with Teaching Personnel, we can offer you:
