Job description

Are you confident, adaptable, and looking to build your classroom experience in a secondary school? Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work full-time in one of our partner secondary schools, with opportunities to support creative subject areas such as Drama, Performing Arts, Dance, Art, Design, and English.

This is a fantastic role for graduates or those with a background in the creative arts who are considering a career in teaching, or for experienced Cover Supervisors / Teaching Assistants who would like to focus on subject-specialist cover.

The school has a strong community ethos, where behaviour can sometimes be challenging. Staff are well supported by clear systems and a collaborative team culture, making this role especially rewarding for those who see the value in pupil individuality and resilience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects, with a focus on creative faculties.

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to maintain engagement and focus.

  • Support pupils of all abilities, encouraging creativity, confidence, and participation.

  • Build strong relationships with students to foster respect and inclusion.

  • Gain invaluable classroom management and subject-specialist experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
