Core Subject Tutor

Do you have a talent and passion for teaching others? Want to take on new students? If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you as we are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Core Subject Tutors looking to teach students in the local area.

What will the role include?

• Teaching core subjects (Maths, English, Science) to students on a 1:1 basis
• Sessions could take place in a classroom setting, public library, online or at the students home
• Providing detailed weekly feedback for each student you work with
• Most of our tuition requests involve supporting looked after children who could have a range of social, emotional or mental health needs
• Some students may also have more complex needs such as dyslexia or learning difficulties, some may also be on the autistic spectrum

Who are we looking for?

• Tutors or Teachers that have the ability to teach up to GCSE or at Functional Skills Level. QTS is desired but not essential if you have the proven ability to deliver at the levels mentioned.
• Tutors or Teachers with the ability to assess a students learning levels and adapt work accordingly
• Experience of teaching children with additional needs is desired but not essential if you think you have the patience and understanding to work closely with such vulnerable children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
