About the School
Teaching Personnel are supporting an independent specialist school in Thetford, Norfolk, which provides high-quality, therapeutic education for up to 23 children aged 6 to 17. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often alongside Autism, ADHD, and other communication or learning difficulties.
The school uses a trauma-informed and relationship-centred approach, ensuring that every member of staff receives specialist training and regular support. Collaboration between teachers, therapists, families, and local authorities is at the heart of everything they do, helping each child to achieve their best possible outcomes.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Computing Teacher to join a small, dedicated team. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2 to GCSE, helping students develop vital digital skills, from basic IT use to coding, programming, and online safety.
This is a great opportunity for a teacher or experienced instructor who is passionate about making Computing relevant, fun, and accessible for all learners. You’ll work closely with other staff to tailor lessons to individual needs and help students gain confidence both academically and personally.
We’re looking for someone who:

Has strong experience teaching or delivering Computing, ICT, or a related subject

Holds QTS (desirable but not essential) – experienced instructors or unqualified teachers with relevant background are encouraged to apply

Understands the needs of students with SEMH and/or SEND
-
Brings creativity, flexibility, and a calm, supportive approach to the classroom

Values building positive relationships and celebrating small steps of progress
