Computer Science teacher (Northampton)

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a large secondary school in Central Northamptonshire who are seeking a teacher of Computer Science to join their department in September 2019. The school is part of a multi academy trust and seeks to broaden the horizons of every pupil, allowing them to achieve their full potential both inside and outside of the classroom. The school are looking for an ambitious and inspirational teacher of Computer Science who is capable of teaching the subject to key stage 3 and 4 pupils. The successful applicant will join a department who are dedicated to leading the way in teaching. The schools specialisms of Maths and Music are central to a personalised curriculum which encourages students to think outside the border of each subject. The pastoral system led by committed staff is the heart of support for each student and the school aim to help everyone studying and working at the academy to build good relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A sound academic background in relevant subject
  • Familiar with recent developments in the teaching and learning of the subject including strategies for raising achievement
  • Experienced in using a range of teaching and learning styles
  • Able to use assessment data to improve achievement
