Computer Science Teacher - Twickenham
** Computer Science Teacher – Twickenham – Computer Science Teacher – Teddington – Computer Science Teacher – Hounslow – Computer Science Teacher – Brentford – Computer Science Teacher – Chiswick – September 2020 **
Work basis: Permanent
Location: Twickenham, London
Salary: GBP28,413 - GBP35,971
Start Date: September 2020
Our client school in the heart of Twickenham urgently requires a teacher of Computer Science for a September start. The school was recently rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. Students achieve the very best academic success across both GCSE and A-Level. It is located close to Twickenham stadium, in what is universally considered a more affluent part of London. The school is a 3-minute walk from the nearest underground station.
Rather than encountering behaviour management issues as is often the case with London secondary schools this school "is all about the teaching and learning" (Head Teacher, 2018)
The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a practitioner with a proven track record delivering the Computer Science/ ICT syllabus at GCSE but particularly at AS and A2 level.
The advantage to working in this setting for a teacher include:
- Small class sizes of highly motivated and equally capable students
- Outstanding resources to choose from to offer exciting and though-provoking classes
- Subject teachers have no pastoral responsibilities and can also stay off-site when off the teaching timetable
- A highly capable administrative team to support teachers in all aspects of their preparation.
- The opportunity to continue at the school in a permanent capacity
- A salary structure which is negotiable rather than in-line with the national pay scale for teachers. Ability and results are therefore acknowledged financially.
Application Requirements:
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
- You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
If you would like the opportunity to hone your teaching skills or progress within the teaching ladder at one of the best schools in Twickenham, please submit your updated CV to callum.moore@teachingpersonnel.com or call the London Secondary Branch on 02075933073 for more details.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
