I am recruiting a Computer Science Teacher for a maternity cover starting in April 2020 until the following Christmas. Are you a Computer Science Teacher looking for a new challenge for the summer term? This could be the perfect role for you!

A client Secondary School has started their search for a Teacher of Computer Science to join their Information Technology (ICT) department for this temporary full time role. If you are an ICT and Computer Science Teacher, please keep reading.

The role involves teaching Computer Science to KS3-KS4 classes (key stage 3, key stage 4), including some GCSE classes, in a coastal school of the East Riding of Yorkshire. Teaching the national curriculum, you will need to plan lessons in line with the national objectives and must keep up to date with developments in your subject area. You will be required to attend parents evenings, as well as participating in the training sessions with the school.

Although you will be required to work full time, the timetable will include some free periods where you will be required to support with cover in other subjects as and when needed. Your PPA time will be protected.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Subject Specialism in Computer Science
  • Recent experience teaching the secondary curriculum
  • A Valid Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the Update Service (Teaching Personnel can offer support in your application)
  • Available full time

Teaching Personnel is able to offer competitive rates on pay, in line with the role the school is offering and with your experience. You can expect to be paid weekly on PAYE.
