Teacher of Computer Science- Wigan - January 2019

Teaching Personnel are working closely with our partner Secondary school located in Wigan to recruit for a Teacher of Computer Science. This is a full time position required to start from January 2019 but there is also an opportunity to start earlier if convenient for the successful candidate.

The school aim to appoint a teacher with employment until the end of the academic year in the first instance but there will be the opportunity to secure a permanent post if successful over the initial period.

  • Full time Teacher of Computer Science required
  • January 2019 start, initially guaranteed until the end of the academic year
  • Located in Wigan, accessible via the A58
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£23,20 - £39,406 per annum)

Within the role you will be expected to teach Computer Science and ICT to Key Stages 3 & 4. You will join a dedicated team within the IT department who strive to make the topic enjoyable for all pupils.

The school that aim to appoint for this position have seen significant improvements in behaviour, attainment and results over the past term and aim to appoint a Teacher of Computer Science who has a confident and engaging method of teaching. It is essential that the incoming Teacher of Computer Science has excellent behaviour management skills and a willingness to go the extra mile for their pupils.

The school that seek to appoint a Teacher of Computer Science is smaller than the average Secondary school with 680 students currently enrolled. Situated in the centre of Wigan, the school is located just a short drive away from the A58 and has an abundance of public transport links from surrounding areas of Wigan. Teachers at the school will have access to an on site car park.
