Computer Science Teacher required - Middlesbrough

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Computer Science teacher within the Middlesbrough area to start once schools re-open. The Computer Science teacher is required due to a forthcoming open vacancy within the school's Computing department. The teacher of Computer Science will therefore be required for the full academic year with the outlook to a permanent position. This is a full time teaching position working with the head of department at a highly reputable secondary school.

Highlights of this Computer Science teaching position:

  • Full time Computer Science teacher 
  • On a supply basis in the first instance with the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract
  • Pay will be based on teacher's pay scale and experience: GBP23,720 - GBP39,406
  • Applications are encouraged from teachers of any experience level including NQT to more experienced teachers of Computer Science
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities will be included as part of this teaching position

This school follows the OCR syllabus which includes a programming project, programming techniques and computer systems as well as algorithms and pseudocode. The successful computer science teacher should therefore be comfortable teaching all aspects of the syllabus. Prior experience of the OCR curriculum is not essential.

The ideal computer science teacher should be able to teach engaging lessons utilising the school's state of the art equipment. The equipment will be at the disposal of the successfully appointed teacher; having the ability to teach innovative lessons across the curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
