Our client secondary school is larger than average and is equipped with modern equipment and technology within each classroom.

  • Full-time Computer Science Teacher required to start ASAP.
  • Based within a secondary school in North Manchester.
  • Teaching pupils aged 11-16 up to GCSE level.
  • Paid to teaching scale point (M1-UPS3).
  • Teaching a full timetable alongside, taking on full planning and marking responsibilities.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following application requirements:

  • Must have QTS and a subject specialism within IT/Computer Science/Computing or experience teaching Computer Science previously.

Further roles and responsibilities

  • Teaching pupils at varying levels of learning ability including those with additional learning needs.
  • Working alongside senior members of staff and the Head of IT to ensure all pupils are supported correctly.
  • Monitoring and evaluating pupils’ progress and taking appropriate action where required.
  • Setting relevant homework tasks and marking these in line with the school curriculum.

Located in North Manchester, the school is easily accessible via the M62, A58 and A56 from surrounding areas such as central Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale and Middleton. The school is also accessible via several public transport links from areas surrounding Greater Manchester for candidates who do not drive. The school is a 15 minute drive from the centre of Manchester and has a direct train and bus route.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
