Computer Science Teacher
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position
Location: Hammersmith
Start Date: April 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join the permanent staff of a GOOD school in Hammersmith from April 2025. The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. They will be expected to inspire and challenge students, fostering a passion for computing and preparing them for further education and future careers in technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students in developing their computational thinking, programming skills, and digital literacy.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the wider school community and department, including extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).
- Strong subject knowledge, particularly in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive department and contribute to school initiatives.
