Job Title: ICT Teacher

Job Duties:

The ICT Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT lessons to students, incorporating the national curriculum and educational guidelines. They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ICT lessons, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback. The ICT Teacher will also create a stimulating learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in ICT or related field
  • Proven experience in teaching ICT at the secondary school level

Education:

A degree in ICT or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching ICT at the secondary school level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national ICT curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in using ICT tools and software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in implementing innovative teaching methods

Working Conditions:

The ICT Teacher will work in a school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. They may be required to attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and extra-curricular activities. The role involves working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds, requiring patience, flexibility, and a commitment to promoting inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
