For September, the School which is based in the Portsmouth area, are looking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher of Computer Science. Whilst the role is suitable for an NQT, more experienced teachers are also encouraged to apply, as the post will be awarded to the Candidate able to demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning. The School are seeking someone who can positively contribute towards raising standards in the Department and across the School as a whole.
The School currently follow the AQA Syllabus and the course proves to be a popular choice amongst GCSE students. The Department is well resourced, and enjoys state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. The team itself is forward thinking and collaborative in its approach, providing one another with support to realise the aim of strong. positive Student outcomes.
The School are looking for someone who:
- Can demonstrate exceptional Subject knowledge, with a strong focus on raising attainment
- Has an excellent track record of teaching and learning demonstrating a high level of skill which enables all learners to access the curriculum
- Is ambitious in their career and has high expectations of their students and own performance as a teacher
- Is well qualified with UK QTS, or comparable Overseas qualification, and a related Degree
- Is able to support the continual professional development of colleagues making contributions on inset days
For the right candidate, the school may be able to offer additional teaching and learning responsibility, as well as comprehensive continual professional development, and a staff well-being programme.
