Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

£12.84 - £13.00 per hour 

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit several teaching assistants to work in a local SEN school.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with complex needs
• Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with complex needs
• Assist the teaching staff in delivering appropriate educational activities
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff
• Assist with personal care tasks, if required
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to support student needs

The ideal candidate will:

• Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive practises
• Ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

• Full, free, on-site training will be provided
• Work primarily takes place within a school setting
• May involve assisting with personal care tasks
• Full-Time hours, typically following the school schedule

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
