Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Neath Port Talbot, Neath Port Talbot, Neath
£12.84 - £13.00 per hour
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit several teaching assistants to work in a local SEN school.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with complex needs
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with complex needs
- Assist the teaching staff in delivering appropriate educational activities
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff
- Assist with personal care tasks, if required
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to support student needs
The ideal candidate will:
- Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive practises
- Ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

- Full, free, on-site training will be provided
- Work primarily takes place within a school setting
- May involve assisting with personal care tasks
- Full-Time hours, typically following the school schedule

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
