Job description

College Teacher 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate College Teacher to join our team at an SEN college, supporting learners on the PACE (Pathway to Adulthood, Citizenship and Education) programme.

This is a long-term position, starting after the February half-term, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people as they prepare for adulthood.

Working Hours:
Tuesday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay:
Dependent on skills and experience

Location: 
Rawtenstall 

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learner needs

  • Support students with a range of special educational needs

  • Deliver learning focused on functional skills, citizenship, and independence

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families

  • Assess progress and adapt teaching to ensure all learners can succeed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with learners with SEN

  • Strong understanding of differentiation and personalised learning

  • Patient, flexible, and learner-focused approach

  • Committed to meeting the needs of all children and young people

  • Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
