Job description

SEN Teacher

We are currently recruiting an SEN Teacher to work within a specialist SEN setting in the Darwen area. This is an agency role, starting on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The role includes:

  • Teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

  • Working closely with support staff, therapists and senior leadership

  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience working within an SEN setting

  • Be patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies

  • Be reliable, flexible and committed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
