About the Role

Our partnered primary school in Slough is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support teachers and pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a passion for working with children and supporting learning in a primary school setting.

You will be working closely with the class teacher to help manage the classroom, assist with lesson activities, and provide tailored support to pupils who may need additional help with their learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering planned lessons and activities.

• Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.

• Provide classroom support for pupils with varying needs and abilities.

• Help with setting up resources, displays, and maintaining a tidy learning space.

• Support behaviour management and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

• Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teacher.

• Support pupils during breaktimes, transitions, and school activities when needed.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.

• A proactive and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

• A calm, patient, and flexible attitude.

• A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or a related degree) is desirable but not essential.

• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

• Right to work in the UK.
