Classroom Assistant

A Special Needs School in Grays is recruiting several SEN Teaching Assistants for full time, ongoing positions starting ASAP. Working hours are 08.45am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The school caters for 90 pupils aged 3-19 years old, with EHCPs for ASD and social and communication difficulties. As well as a varied curriculum, they also offer a range of therapies and extra-curricular activities.

The selected applicants will have previous SEN experience, especially with ASD and communication needs. As well as supporting students on a 1:1 basis, you will also be required to support whole classes when needed. Knowledge of PECS and Makaton would be advantageous. You will have a caring, calm personality with a keen interest to progress in the field of SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
