Classroom Assistant

Behaviour Support Worker:

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Learning Assistant to work 1:1 with pupils in Hayle. The right candidate should be motivated and looking to constantly progress within the company whilst providing an enthusiastic attitude to teaching at all times. You will be working alongside children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs (Team Teach or equivalent training an advantage but not essential). The role is full time and could potentially lead to a permanent position to the perfect candidate.

You will need to offer a nurturing, safe and non-judgemental space for children who display challenging behaviour. These pupils might be LAC (Looked After Children) or from a disadvantaged background so it’s essential that you are patient and empathetic. You must provide an excellent contribution to their education and lives. The school is based in Hayle, and although you will be working 1:1 it may be asked that occasionally you assist small groups of students. As well as supporting their learning, you will be tracking their school and personal progression and working closely with other teachers to ensure all needs are met and classes are tailored to each of the children’s individual needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
