Teaching Personnel are working alongside our partner secondary school in Sheffield to recruit for a Teacher of Chemistry. This full time Chemistry teaching position will start from Easter and will be until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

The school have also indicated that they are willing to offer the successful Teacher of Chemistry a fixed-term/permanent contract dependant upon effectiveness within the role:

Teacher of Chemistry Summary:

  • Teaching the Chemistry in Core and GCSE Chemistry across the 11-16 range.
  • To ensure the rapid progress of all students within all year groups/key stages.
  • Excellent subject knowledge to teach the course content to a diverse student population.
  • The ability to establish and develop successful working relationships with the students in the school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633).

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Chemistry to join a successful Chemistry department at our partner school. The incoming Chemistry Teacher will have access to superb facilities due to a recent investment. Further, the Chemistry department also have several strong links to the city's Universities and local sports clubs. Consequently, Chemistry is a very popular subject at the school with a large proportion of pupils choosing this as one of their GCSE options.

The school is a large mixed comprehensive that currently caters for over 1000 pupils. The pupil population consists of a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds. It is located on the outskirts of Sheffield city centre which provides excellent transport links to Sheffield and the other areas of Sheffield.
