Position Details:

• Role: Chemistry Teacher
• Pay: To scale £162.31 to £251.71 per day (MPS/UPS)
• Contract: Full-Time
• Start Date: April 2025

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry with an understanding of the broader Science curriculum
• Excellent behaviour management skills to maintain a productive learning environment
• A child-only DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Two professional references from recent employment

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
• Plan, mark, and assess work to support student progress
• Ensure strong behaviour management in the classroom to create a focused learning environment
• Supervise practical experiments with a focus on student safety
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community
