Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 4 (Challenging Behaviour Support)
Location: Grade I Listed Educational Setting
Contract: Part-Time (with potential to become Full-Time)
Start Date: ASAP
An alternative education provision is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 4 student who requires constant supervision and redirection due to significantly limited focus. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting young people who have experienced challenges in mainstream education, including permanent exclusion.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with complex behavioural needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement pre-set lesson plans and ensure the student remains engaged and on task.
- Support the student in a flexible learning environment, which includes access to a kitchen, games room, and adaptable classroom spaces.
- Help foster a positive, structured, and supportive atmosphere that encourages learning and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience working with young people who present challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a calm approach to behaviour management.
- Is confident working independently while following guidance from teaching staff.
- Has a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
