Catch-up Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Catch-up Teacher
- Part-time role, 3 days per week
- February half-term start (if schools re-open)
- Competitive rate of GBP100 - GBP135 per day
- Experienced required in Lancashire primary schools
- Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 candidates required
Due to the school closures, huge gaps in learning are being created across the country. On average, pupils are 3 months behind in their studies with over 44% of pupils requiring catch up tuition in the coming academic year. Owing to such, the government have allocated additional funding to support children in need of extra tuition. In light of these recent developments, Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with Primary Schools across East Lancashire to source a number of excellent key stage 1 and 2 catch- up tutors. The schools are ideally looking to appoint local candidates with experience working in Lancashire schools.
We currently have a school in Burnley that are looking to appoint a catch-up teacher/tutor, to start over the next few weeks. As a catch-up tutor, you would deliver pre-planned sessions on a 1:1 or small group basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role, a broad knowledge of the curriculum, and confident in implementing behavioural management policies. After such a long period away from the classroom, it can only be expected that some students will find it harder than others to return to school. The successful candidate should therefore be of a nurturing nature and prepared to assist children into their return to school life as much as possible.
Here at Teaching Personnel, we pride ourselves on our reputation as the friendliest and most helpful agency. But don’t just take our word for it- take a look at what our candidates have to say about us here.
If this sounds like the ideal employment opportunity for you, please do not hesitate to call our office on 01772 386242 or email howard.taylor@teachingpersonnel.com attaching an updated CV and stating the role you are interested in.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
