Care/Support Assistant for Key Stage 3/4 SEND

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEND school in Northallerton to recruit a support assistant to work with children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties on a full time basis. The role will commence as soon as possible and will continue through to the end of the academic year.
Some students may require medical assistance and personal care, this role is ideal for those from a care work background who are looking to move their career into an educational field. The candidate will benefit from holding a Moving and Handling Qualification although this is not mandatory. You will be working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with varying disabilities of profound natures, this includes SEND including:
- Complex medical needs
- Physical Impairments
- Speech and language difficulties
Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEN and have a kind and nurturing personality. Registration with Teaching Personnel will provide you will access to unique CPD opportunities to develop your abilities in this role. Throughout your application and employment you will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds who are well placed to place you into roles within schools and onto training.
Teaching Personnel can offer support assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per day, the role will commence ASAP on a full time basis until the end of the academic year, however registration with Teaching Personnel will provide you with access to extensive further work opportunities.
