Business Studies Teacher – Trafford

Full time Teacher of Business Studies required for a smaller than average secondary school in Trafford.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school in the Trafford area who are seeking to appoint a Business Studies Teacher from January 2020 on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year in the first instance. Although initially on a temporary contract, there is a strong possibility of this exciting role turning permanent due to a strong working relationship with the school.

  • Full time Teacher of Business Studies required from January 2020
  • Fixed term, temporary contract until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract thereafter
  • Experience of teaching other vocational subjects (especially IT/Computing) is highly desirable but not essential
  • Smaller than average secondary school located in Trafford
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373-GBP40,490)

Our partner secondary school is located in the Trafford borough of Greater Manchester and is currently the school of choice for over 800 students from the surrounding areas of Firswood, Ordsall and Weaste. The school has been recognised by Ofsted has having ‘Good’ leadership and management, with the Headteacher creating a committed, determined and cohesive community.

As a Teacher of Business Studies at our partner school, the successful candidate will be joining a hard working and determined department that support the progress and attainment of all pupils. The department is responsible for teaching across a range of subjects including Business, IT, Media, Hospitality & Catering and other subjects. The incoming teacher will teach within their specialism up to KS4 level, with full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking being included. The role may also include teaching non-specialist subjects to KS3 students, with lessons being pre-prepared by the department.
