Full time working hours and long term work opportunity in a GOOD Catholic School - It is not a necessity to be of Catholic faith but you must be able to uphold the Christian ethos

Smaller than average sized School located in the Town Centre with good transport links and public service links.

Work under the leadership of an 'inspirational' and 'committed' Head teacher who has improved standards, particularly in Maths and English, since taking the role in 2015. Feel welcomed and supported in your career path and the day to day life in school.

An average sized school in the heart of Burnley have approached Teaching Personnel in order to shortlist and appoint a committed and hard working primary practitioner who has experience within the upper KS2 departments. The school are currently recruiting in order to cover a part maternity in the Year 4 class. The role will commence from the first week of October and continue until at least the end of the academic year. There is also the possibility that the Head teacher in school will be keen to appoint new members of staff in the next academic year.

The Head teacher noted that the children in the class are; 'bright and willing to learn'; there are also a number of children who come from 'challenging' backgrounds and with this they pose a challenge in the classroom. It is therefore important that the applying candidates have recent education knowledge and a range of behaviour management techniques which can be showcased in the classroom.

The school require the applying candidates to hold Qualified Teacher Status and have recent, relevant experience working in a class room setting. On this occasion, the school are looking for a teacher who has at least two years experience in the classroom as they are in the window for another Ofsted inspection.

You must be able to uphold the Catholic Ethos in school as the Head teacher is keen to work in line with the Christian faith. The school does fall under the Salford Diocese and so they are also regularly inspected by SIAMS.

In order to apply for this role you must have the following;

Qualified Teacher Status

Experience working in a UKS2 class and have recent references to support your application

Have good availability in the Summer Term and for the rest of the year in order to take up the role

Uphold the Catholic ethos and deliver high quality Religious Studies lesson content
