Job Title: BSL Communication Support Worker

South East England, Surrey, Addlestone

Salary:

£385+ a week

Job Duties:

• Provide communication support using British Sign Language (BSL) to students with hearing impairments.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other staff members.
• Assist in classroom activities and ensure students have access to the curriculum.
• Support students in developing their BSL skills and confidence in using sign language.
• Work closely with teachers to adapt materials and create a supportive learning environment.

Experience and Skills:

• Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) at Level 2 or above.
• Experience working with individuals with hearing impairments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Ability to provide effective communication support in an educational setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
