Biology Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Timperley

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £162 - £251 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative biology lessons to students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and exams
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Biology or a related field
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Science

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biology or relevant subject
  • Experience teaching Biology at secondary school level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of biological concepts and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in learning
  • Organisational skills to plan lessons effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time
  • Temporary position
  • Classroom-based teaching
  • Potential for extracurricular involvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
