Biology Teacher Wanted – Join a Fantastic School in Durham!

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology teacher looking for a new opportunity in Easter 2025? Our client school in Durham is seeking a passionate educator to inspire students and make a real impact. This role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs).

Position Details:

  • Role: Biology Teacher
  • Salary: To scale (£162.31- £251.71 per day)
  • Contract: Full-Time
  • Start Date: Easter 2025

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, with a basic understanding of other sciences
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply with our support)
  • Two recent professional references

Your Role:

  • Deliver engaging Biology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to suit different learning needs
  • Make use of state-of-the-art science labs and resources
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities that enrich student learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
