SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Teaching Assistant - York
- Supporting pupils excluded from mainstream education
- 1:1 and small group support
- Perfect for an experienced Teaching Assistant or recent Graduate
Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support pupils who are unable to access mainstream education. This could be down to behavioural difficulties, long gaps out of education, new to the area due to being care, or a diagnosis of SEN such as moderate ASC, GDD or MLD. If you are looking for a rewarding career in the Education sector, Teaching Personnel can help find your ideal job and School.
The position of SEMH / Behaviour Teaching Assistant is suitable for a strong-willed and nurturing graduate, or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge. Having knowledge of SEMH and managing behavioural difficulties is essential, however experience in an education setting isn't. As the UK's market leaders in education recruitment, we can offer you the chance to develop your skills and CPD portfolio by offering courses such as Team Teach, NASEN, Autism Awareness, Safeguarding and Child Psychology.
If you are interested in this position, or would like to hear about other positions we have available in the York area, please do not hesitate to get in contact with Kerry Fowler on 01482 908020, or email your up to date CV by clicking 'apply now'!
