Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
My client is a specialist school for young people with social and emotional difficulties located in the Radcliffe, Bury area and they are seeking to employ an experienced teaching assistant on a long term basis. The Bury school caters for young people who have had difficulty coping in mainstream education and as a result need more personalised education. Teaching assistants in this school are instrumental in building positive relationships which will then enable the young people to make great strides moving forward.
In an effort to help the school and its young people progress they are looking for a teaching assistant with both the school and behaviour based background. The ideal Teaching assistant must also be a confident individual who is not fazed by confrontation or a reluctance to engage and instead see it as an opportunity to make progress. Other relevant experience such as youth work will enhance your application. Equally relevant training such as verbal/physical de-escalation training will also be beneficial.
As this position is an immediate start having a DBS registered on the update service would be advantageous.
Pay rate: up to £10 per hour.
If you feel as though you have the relevant experience for this role and would like to be considered, please send a copy of your CV to James Johnson
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
