Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Spilsby

• Full Time Term Time Only post, Monday to Friday

• Monthly pay of up to GBP1410*

• Special Needs School - Spilsby

About the Job Role:

• Supporting Secondary aged pupils diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

• Managing behaviour challenges through the use of de-escalation techniques and positive reward behaviour systems

• Supporting the Class Teacher in the delivery of all lessons, including a creative curriculum, Functional Skills arts and crafts, communication skills and life skills

• Liaising with family members, parents, carers, staff members and outside agencies such as therapists, to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a Level 2 or higher qualification, in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care, Childcare or similar

• Have at least 11 months experience of supporting young adults or children with complex needs, or behaviour

• Be able to provide a full 6 year career history including reference information for your two most recent employers

• Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for one
