Location: Thrapston, Northamptonshire

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: MPS/UPS  (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a resilient and committed Behaviour Teacher to join a supportive educational setting in Thrapston. This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of behaviour management who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

You will play a key role in creating a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment that enables students to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with behavioural needs
  • Manage and support challenging behaviour using positive strategies
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Monitor and track student progress, both academically and socially

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A calm, consistent, and patient approach
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
