Behaviour Support Assistant - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant ahead of the new academic year in September 2019. The large mixed comprehensive Secondary school, based in Wigan wish to appoint a full time Behaviour Support Assistant after a recent increase in funding and students joining the school with educational healthcare plans.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will be employed on a temporary basis for one full academic year; however there will be the opportunity to secure a permanent position following this due to the planned expansion across the school.

• Full time temporary Behaviour Support Assistant required, September 2019 start
• Working with children who have been identified as challenging and require additional support in school
• Earnings of £1000-1200 a month.
• Must have or be willing to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) that is registered with the Update Service

Our client Secondary school are keen to begin the interview process as soon as possible and wish to meet with Behaviour Support Assistants over the coming weeks. The incoming Behaviour Support Assistant will be expected to:

• Have effective behaviour management skills and a calm approach when dealing with challenging students
• Be enthusiastic and promote good classroom behaviours
• Hold high expectations from students and what they can achieve

Our client Secondary school is larger than the average Secondary school with just over 1000 pupils currently on roll. In their most recent Ofsted report, a grading of 'Good' was achieved and have since highlighted that they would like to push for 'Outstanding' in the future.
