We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant for a full time position in Colchester!

  • Immediate start position
  • Monday-Friday 8:30AM to 4PM
  • SEMH School for students KS2-KS4

Our friendly and welcoming client school based in Colchester are seeking a Behaviour Mentor. This position is for an immediate start, and is full-time, with the potential to move onto a permanent contract for the right person.

The School

Catering for students aged 10-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Small class sizes led by a Teacher and supported with Classroom Teaching Assistants. The school has a friendly feel with supportive staff and SLT. They are looking for an experience Behaviour Specialist Assistant to work within the classroom.

The role

  • Support the Class Teacher within subject specialist lessons
  • Engaging and encouraging students in learning activities
  • Act as a positive role model for the students
  • Behaviour management - diffusing challenging situations, de-escalating conflict

This Behaviour Mentor role would suit an inspirational leader! You must be creative, able to think on your feet and think outside the box about ways in which you can get through to students from various backgrounds. You must be calm, patient and up for a challenge. The rewards are endless when you are successful in a school like this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
