Behaviour Support Assistant

Are you experienced in working with Special Educational Needs, and/or Challenging Behaviour? Are you looking to support pupils on a 1:1/small group basis? Would you like a new role within our client school?

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN on a 1:1 basis. The school is based in the Wickford area and is looking for Teaching Assistants to support across all Key Stages.

We are looking for a candidate who is confident, passionate and driven in supporting children and young people with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have at experience of working with children and preferably with SEN.

Candidates must have qualifications in GCSE grade C and above or equivalent. Having the following qualifications will strength your application, these are not essential but are desirable:

• Team Teach
• MAPA
• Challenging behaviours in the classroom
• Classroom management
• NVQ SEN teaching Assistant
• Autism Awareness

The role is to begin on a flexible basis immediately so we are particularly interested in candidates who have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. If you do not have this, you can apply for this with Teaching Personnel and be supported through the application process.
