Behaviour Support Assistant

A school in Preston are seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience in Social, Emotional, Mental Health & Behavioural Difficulties ASAP!

This role will include:

- Opportunity to support young people on a 1:1 and small group basis

- Opportunity to secure long-term / permanent work

The role will be based across KS3 / KS4. 

You may be expected to support students in Eng / Maths on a small group and 1:1 basis.

You must have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour, however, this does not have to be in a school-based environment. Teaching Personnel also recruit candidates who have undertaken youth work, supported young offenders or those at risk of re-offending and those who have worked in secure or medical units. You must have the ability to build a rapport with a non-judgemental attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of young people.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work on a supply basis initially whilst we seek a longer term opportunity for you. Longer term opportunities usually arise quickly for those candidates who show initiative, are proactive and receive positive feedback from their supply assignments. This particular school often appoints Teaching Personnel staff on a permanent basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
