Behaviour Assistant – Royal Tunbridge Wells
Teaching personnel are currently looking to recruit effective behaviour mentors / assistants for our pool of staff to work in schools in and around the Royal Tunbridge Wells area. The Primary aim of this role is to assist and support students who are transitioning back into the mainstream classroom from SEN units.
This can often be very rewarding and enjoyable role, with an ever-changing environment and new daily challenges to overcome. As a behaviour assistant you will be supporting vulnerable students with emotional, social and mental health difficulties, forming unique relationships and bonds along the way.
Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:
- Youth work
- Support work & residential care
- Learning mentor in secondary environment
- Prison officers/ tutors
- Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, sociology)
The primary function of this role is to work collaboratively with a team supporting students in developing students confidence, self-esteem, increasing school participation and to generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve, not only in education but in the their lives as a whole.
