Full-time Behaviour Support Assistant role available within a secondary school in Bury.

Due to a restructuring of our client schools support department, there is an immediate need after the half term break for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our client school in Bury, providing 1:1 support with a young child with SEMH needs who displays challenging behaviour during lessons.

- GBP65 per day, paid on a weekly basis

- Well facilitated secondary school with opportunities for progression

- Support from welcoming department and experienced SENCo at school

- Working with a student on a 1:1 basis, encouraging participation in education

Our client school is a small oversubscribed and popular 11-16 school located on the outskirts of central Bury. The school is a mixed comprehensive secondary school that serves the diverse community. The school was recently refurbished and renovated, and a state of the art learning support unit was built so students with additional needs could be fully supported during their time in education. The school performs above the national average in terms of attainment at GCSE and the Progress 8 score is consistently improving, though already above the national average for secondary schools.

Job highlights as a Behaviour Support Assistant;

- Supporting young student on a 1:1 basis during their studies

- Liaising with Heads of Faculty and SENCo about progress being made

- Ensuring focussed learning is taking place in all lessons

- Monitoring and tracking behaviour throughout placement

Located in Bury, our partner school is easily accessible via the M66 motorway. For non-drivers there are an abundance of public transportation routes that lead to the school from Heywood, Middleton and central Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
