Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside multiple primary schools in the Leicester area. We are now looking to recruit a behaviour support assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with children experiencing Social, Emotional or Mental Health problems. This role will be on a supply basis.

Throughout your role as a behaviour mentor you will be working with children in Key Stages 1 and 2, to help engage and assist in their learning and classroom experience. You will be working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour such as:

• Exclusion
• Anxiety
• Speech and language difficulties
• A disengagement with the classroom and learning
• Withdrawn attitudes
• Frustrated, angry and aggressive tempers
• Truancy

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must have some experience working with children and young people who have demonstrated difficult behaviours.

The ideal candidate would be adaptable with the nature of work being with different pupils in different enviorments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
