Behaviour Support Assistant

-          Primary School in the outskirts of Blackburn

-          Experience supporting children with SEND required

-          Full-time

-          Professional development opportunity

A primary school situated in the outskirts of Blackburn are seeking a dedicated support assistant to work from November 2020 – April 2021, with a view for this to be extended further (potentially on a permanent contract). The role will be full-time due to the needs of the individual child. The child who requires the support is currently in Year 2 and is struggling to properly engage with class work which is, in turn, effecting behaviour. You would be required to work with the child on a 1:1 basis to provide a tailored approach to the National Curriculum.

The Head Teacher is looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and build an excellent relationship with the child and staff members alike. Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND is essential. It is preferable that you have undergone professional development to support your experiences (courses such as; Autism Awareness and Team Teach), but this is not a necessity.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
