Behaviour Support Assistant

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary Scale: 66-75 GBP

Contract: Full time - 37 hours per week

Location: Reading

We, at Teaching Personnel, work alongside an SEN school in Reading who are needing strong behaviour mentors for a class of secondary age students who have SEMH/Behavioural difficulties.

This is a challenging opportunity to be part of a successful support team.

 

The role:

- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver successful and creative lessons

- Support children in their learning

- Support children with severe emotional difficulties

- Help control and maintain behaviour levels in the class

 

The ideal candidate:

- Will be resiliant

- Will have strong experience working with SEN and SEMH (ASC, ADHD and other complex needs)

- Have a willingness to train

 

This is a great role for those who are experienced youth workers, support workers, youth offender officers, SEN Teaching Assistants etc.

 

Previous experience of working in a mainstream school and/or PRU, along with knowledge of Safeguarding is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
